2016 July Weekend:- Corran Ferry

The weather was cloudy on Friday, and wet on both Saturday and Sunday, Monday was clear out to Eigg from Mallaig.

Friday Activities:
Corbett:-  – Bob
Munro:- Anoch Mhor & An0ch Beag from Glen Spean – Elsie, Kasia & Gregor

Saturday Activities:
Island visit:- Kerrera walk to the DavidHutcheson’s Memorial – A stone obelisk is perched high on the hill over the north entrance to Oban Bay  (who in 1835 set up a regular steamer service to the Hebrides, which became the forerunner of Caledonian MacBraynes ferries today)- Elsie, Kasia,Bob, Dave, Malcolm & Gregor.

Sunday Activities:
Leisurely activities due to the bad weather.

Monday Activities:
Marilyn:- An Sgurr – Eigg, another island adventure  – Kasia, Bob, Malcolm & Gregor

2016 May Weekend:-Islay

The weather was bright and clear the whole weekend Thursday to Monday.

Thursday Activities:
Arrive at Port Askaig from Kennacraig on the MV Finlaggan, visiting Finlaggan Trust visitors centre – Deirdre & Gregor

Friday Activities:
Visited the Kildalton Cross and Mull of Oa

Saturday Activities:
Graham:- Southern Pap of Jura – Beinn a’ Chaolais – David & Kevin
Graham:- Northern Pap of Jura – Beinn Shiantaidh – Malcolm & Gregor
Jura costal walk to Barnhill where George Orwell wrote the novel ‘1984’ Deirdre, Elsie & John.

Sunday Activities:
Marilyn:- Islay – Beinn Bheigeir – Kevin & Malcolm
Distillery visits – Laphroaig & Ardbeg – Deidre, David & Gregor

2015 June Weekend – Crianlarich

The weather was clear on Friday & Saturday, but the weather had closed in on the Sunday.

Tyndrum Weekend November 2013 (By the Way Hostel)

A weekend attended by Deirdre, Elsie, Kasia, Bob & Malcolm. The view of Schiehallion before climbing Corbett Meall Tairneachan on Friday.

Since the weather on Saturday was quite bad alternatives were carried out:- Deirdre, Elsie & Kasia walked a section of the west highland way from Loch Tulla back to Tyndrum, Bob, Malcolm & Gregor climbed Graham Meall Odhar. On Sunday the weather was still bad so a trip to the east found Graham Blath Bhalg between Pitlochry and Glen Shee.
